Domestic service is a partnership between the staff and the household. We are aware of the several problems between the two parties, but our first priority is improving both service delivery to the employer, and improving social status of the domestic worker.

We plan to reach our Goal through the following Specific Objectives:

  1. Carrying out activities (training, savings options) to enhance the     socio-economic well being of domestic workers.

  2. To facilitate personal and professional development of domestic workers, that will enable them to become better employees, carrying out their duties diligently and knowledgeably.

  3. General civic education e.g. on HIV AIDS, some basic financial training and other areas of training and self awareness.

  4. Providing support to householders – the employers – through improving skills of the domestic worker workforce, leading to accreditation and back-up.

We believe that the potential partnership will be a mutually rewarding one.  CFO will create yet another forum that will assist the Association to achieve its objectives and CFO’s mission will compliment the Association’s mission to improve safety and security for its members.  Homes will be safer with trained personnel who can deal with all home safety issues and secure due to more motivated and loyal workers who will feel they have a stake in the estate.
